Our Focus 

Living Legacy recognizes that the issue of Mental Health, Domestic Violence, and Homelessness is a Reality. It is a reality not only for adults but for children and teen-agers as well. The organization offers a range of services in the areas of support groups, workshops/trainings, counseling, housing and community referrals.

Our goal is to offer a Christ-centered approach as well as form solid community partnershipss with faith based organizations, area churches, and other community based initiatives. By forming these partnerships and offering the services that are needed, men and women will be equipped to enter back into society with sustainability.

Our vision is to restore and preserve the dignity of men and women that have faced life's inevitable challenges, by demonstrating and teaching ways that individuals can take an active role in gaining control of their lives.

Mission Statement: Living Legacy empowers, inspire and motivate individuals to participate in obtaining what is needed to gain control of their lives.

Purpose: Allow the opportunity and environment for individuals that desire to become successful in life. Living Legacy will serve those that are making the first step to reclaiming their lives. Living Legacy will assist in obtaining housing, referral to mental health services, NA/AA meetings, life skill training, and anger management classes.

History

Living Legacy began long before the founders established a physical location. In 2004, determined to follow the purpose and mission of Matthew 25: 31-46 a group of bleeding heart professionals that wanted to give back and take care of their community came together. In deciding what was needed and would be most beneficial the aspects of Living Legacy began to evolve. Starting out offering free meals to those in need, Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas dinner, offering guidance to the appropriate services in the community (mental health, economic assistance programs, etc.). Living Legacy wanted to bridge the gap between services that individuals may have already accessed, but a need remains.

With community support, Living Legacy has set out  to play a larger role in the community, as needs may increase.
